Clinical Advisor
Dr. Larry Winans serves as GPM’s Clinical Advisor, ensuring that all patient-facing content is technically accurate, clinically sound, and aligned with how dentistry is actually practiced. With over 35 years of experience as a cosmetic and restorative dentist, he brings perspective to our marketing materials, website copy, and campaign messaging to verify that clinical claims are defensible and that patient communications reflect realistic treatment outcomes.
Dr. Winans provides the clinical perspective that keeps GPM’s marketing grounded in reality. He identifies when messaging overpromises, when technical explanations are unclear or misleading, and when patient expectations need to be managed more carefully. His role is to bridge the gap between what sounds good in marketing and what’s actually deliverable in a dental practice.
Dr. Winans built and grew his own practice from startup through a successful transition out of insurance and eventual sale to a new owner – experience that gives him insight into the operational and clinical realities practices face at every stage. He understands both the doctor’s perspective and the patient’s, which makes him invaluable in crafting messaging that resonates without creating problems downstream.
Dr. Winans ensures that GPM’s marketing doesn’t just drive leads—it drives the right leads with appropriate expectations, setting practices up for successful conversions and long-term patient relationships. Outside of GPM, he and his best friend operate a 2-location craft brewery in Central PA.
