Jake: 00:00 Hi, I’m Jake Weber, Website Account Coordinator here at Golden Proportions Marketing. And today, I want to talk to you about four key things that can have a positive or negative impact on your Dental SEO when using a do-it-yourself website.
Jake: 00:18 By now, you know that quality Dental SEO plays a key factor in helping your website be found online by search engines. Well, I want to talk a little bit about these four steps to better the chances of your website being found. The first would be quality content. So you want to make sure that you don’t have duplicate content on your website, so it should be different from each page. Stolen content is even worse, so please make sure that you are original and unique with the content that you write. When it comes to the formatting of that content, please make sure that your headlines as well as your call to actions are written appropriately and drive a response with the viewer. The second key factor is making sure that you have a responsive website. Now this could be a couple different ways. One of them is mobile responsive, making sure that your viewers are able to access your site quickly and reliably on a cell phone or a tablet.
Jake: 01:13 Another thing to keep aware when it comes to responsive website is having your name, address and phone number consistent throughout your site. Search engines like this, and so do your viewers. They want to be able to get ahold of you. And finally, when it comes to a responsive website, make sure that you are using reliable hosting. You might be able to find a cheaper option to keep your website live, but guaranteed technical support and guaranteed troubleshooting, that’s a different beast. The third key factor that can affect whether you’re found online through search engines is how your website is built and the foundation in which it’s built on. If you’re going out and buying a free word press theme, you’re going to save a couple bucks on the front end, but there is no guaranteed support or upkeep to that theme that you purchase. So if anything were to happen, advancements in technology, or any type of updates to how we view websites, it is not guaranteed that the theme that you are running your website on is supported for that down the road.
Jake: 02:13 The fourth key factor in ensuring that your website can be found online through search engine optimization is utilizing any additional marketing tools that you have at your disposal. A couple free tools would be something as simple as your “Google my business” page, your Google Analytics account, or even utilizing your social media at your practice to tie in your website. And finally, making sure that you are aware of any other additional marketing information that can be at your disposal. Identifying your target audience, making sure that any additional marketing endeavors that you are taking are coordinated with the launch of your new website. If you have any additional questions about this or any other concerns about how your Dental SEO may affect your online presence, feel free to download the SEO checklist that will be attached to this video down in the description. Thank you again, I’m Jake Weber, and thanks for stopping by.
