So, you’re trying to up your social media marketing for dentists game, but you’re sick of all the antics that Facebook is pulling. Trust us, we get it. But how could you get in front of the eyes of, I don’t know, 500 million different potential new patients? Hi, I’m Janaya, Social Media Strategist here at Golden Proportions Marketing, and today I’m going to convince you why you need an Instagram for your dental practice, today.

Here’s my top three reasons why your dental practice should already be on Instagram, and if that isn’t enough, I’ll give you another reason. It’s my favorite F word, free.

Tip Number one, Instagram can significantly strengthen your web presence. Instagram has over 1 billion monthly users and over 500 million of those are active every single day. 74% of those users also trust Instagram to guide them on their purchasing decisions, meaning they’re out hunting for you before you even know it did.

Number two, Instagram helps create credibility and authenticity for your practice. It allows potential new patients to really get a feel for what your practice is all about before ever having any contact with anyone in your dental office. It also helps create that sense of credibility and community by your behind the scenes photos, testimonials, stories, anything that’s going to make those new patients feel like they’re at home before they get to your practice.

Tip number three, Instagram can be used to help make the patient experience more fun and enjoyable. Use Instagram to your benefit, but also make sure that it’s fun for them too. Ask to feature specific patient stories, testimonials, or other photos to make them feel exclusive, and put a sign in your office encouraging patients to post their selfies. But don’t forget to ask them to tag you.

All right, now you’re ready to create an account and start posting all the things, but you’re already feeling like, “Oh, what am I gonna post?” Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
