Dental SEO is three times as hard as you thought

Did you know you have more than one kind of SEO to worry about for your dental website?

Hi, I’m Xaña Winans, Founder and CEO of Golden Proportions Marketing, one of the largest and most experienced dental marketing agencies in the country.

There are actually three distinct types of search engine optimization. And you have to get them all right if you want to improve your dental seo and rank above your competition.

On-Page SEO

On-page SEO is the stuff you hear discussed most often, including keywords. But keywords aren’t the only thing to think about. The overall quality of your content is what really matters for your rankings since Google really wants to give its users what they’re looking for. Google will look at factors like how many people click on your search listing, how long they stayed on your page, and whether or not they had to keep looking for answers after your page. You don’t have to be the first search result that people click on, but you do want to be the last.

Off-Page SEO

Off-page SEO includes things that happen outside of your website and build the authority, or trustworthiness, of your content. The most significant type of off-page SEO is link-building. You want to get as many high quality links as possible pointing to your website. Make sure the sites pointing to you are credible and the links are obtained ethically. Black hat tactics, like paying for links, will only get you penalized.

Technical SEO

Last, but certainly not least, is technical SEO. This covers all of the aspects of your website that are behind the scenes and “under the hood.” Usually, this work is left to your webmaster or SEO expert. Keep in mind that if you have one of those “build it yourself” or “cookie cutter” dental websites, you have a limited amount of control over the technical aspects you can improve, and your SEO might never reach its full potential.

If you want to partner with someone who knows all three kinds of dental SEO inside and out, give Golden Proportions Marketing a call. We’ll be happy to help you out.
