Xaña: 00:00 Are you paying too much for your dental SEO services or even to little? Let’s find out. I’m Xana Winans with Golden Proportions Marketing, and today we’re going to talk about what you should be paying for your dental SEO services.

What should you be paying for dental SEO?

Xaña: 00:17 First, let’s determine if you even need dental SEO services and if so, what you should be paying. How many dentists are in your market? If you’re the only game in town, save your marketing money for something else. How far away do you draw patients from? If you live in a rural area, and you’re drawing patients from a 20 – 30 mile radius, you’re definitely going to need some dental SEO. Mostly because, Google maps is only going to rank you for the town that you live in. And you need some SEO effort to get you to rank for all those surrounding communities. If you live in the suburbs of a medium or even larger city, you’re also going to need SEO. Simply because, there’s significant competition in all of the surrounding towns that you’ll be pulling from. Expect to pay anywhere from $500 – $700.00 a month.

Xaña: 01:05 What services do you want your website to rank for? If you’re trying to rank for competitive terms, things like dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, or even TMD. There can be a lot of fierce competition. Expect your dental SEO company to do some really focused SEO work to get you to rank. You can easily be spending $1,000.00 a month or more. Finally, do you need to see immediate results? The more you pay, the more work your SEO company is going to do for you upfront.

What type of contract should you sign?

Xaña: 01:33 Before you sign a contract, there’s a couple of things you should expect. The first is a Monthly Contract. If your SEO company is only charging you a one time fee, they’re likely simply doing on page optimization and not some ongoing efforts to keep you at the top of the search engines. Expect to sign an Annual Contract. Good SEO takes time, generally at least 6 – 12 months to really start to see the results that you’re looking for. So you need to be patient, but it does pay off in the long run.

Xaña: 02:02 And finally know that the better the company your consultant, the more you’re going to pay. You are after all, paying for their expertise. And if your website is a primary source of new patients for you, it’s definitely worth it. You’ve all heard the saying, “If it seems to good to be true, it probably is”. When you’re shopping for you dental SEO partner, keep that in mind and make sure you are getting what you pay for.
